After The Vows...

  • 72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their entertainment.

  • Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.

  • During the planning, brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer. Their entertainment was among the least of their priorities.
Yet, within one week after their reception, 78% say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority.

  • 65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding, said, if they had it to do over again, they would have chosen a disc jockey.

  • Entertainment is 5% of your Wedding Budget, but TWICE as many guests will remember the entertainment more than anything else.

Decide What You Want

  • Will you be happy with a basic 1970’s disco set-up with the familiar boxed lighting or do you want a fully equipped discoshow with a sophisticated LED lightshow, projection system and a DJ who will encourage dancing?

Shop Around

  • Once you know what you want shop around, but don’t just go for the cheapest.

You may think that someone quoting double is expensive, but find out what they have to offer and be sure you are comparing like with like.
One might be bringing the hi-fi from home (and some do) and the other may have a theatre quality sound rig.
One might be keen to provide what you want whilst another may be more interested in doing what he or she wants.

Check The Quality

  • Everybody appreciates good sound quality.

  • A good lightshow is also essential for creating atmosphere. Always ask about their lighting.

Ask for references

  • Ask for references from past clients and check them out - Even if booking by recommendation from venue managers.

Check On Insurance

  • Make sure that the disco you book has adequate Public Liability Insurance. If anybody should fall or trip over speaker cables or lighting stands, you could end up needing a solicitor!

Get A Contract

  • Once you have decided who to book make sure you get a proper printed contract covering all agreed details and make sure it is correct by reading the small print before you sign it.

Following these guidelines, is not compulsory, but should help weed out the amateurs and obtain a professional when booking your disco.
